For years and years John McLeod refused to allow any “seconds” to be sold. However, due to our growing production and strict quality control there was a natural creation of seconds. We decided to hold a “seconds sale” on the lawn outside our workshop on July 4th some years ago and it was a great success, so we decided to do one on Columbus Day weekend as well. We are happy to say our July 4th and Columbus Day weekend Seconds and Overruns sales have become a greatly anticipated tradition by both our staff and our customers.

Each year many people travel long distances to our shop here in Wilmington, VT to buy armfuls of these products to use as gifts throughout the year.

We don’t just offer Seconds and Overruns at these sales, we also offer a variety of wooden bowls, wooden cutting boards and serving pieces made especially for the sale.

Don’t let the word Seconds fool you though, these pieces are perfectly functional for your everyday household use.
